CWC recently organized a comprehensive leadership training for Heads of Departments, focusing on essential skills such as:

  • Documentation and reporting
  • Effective communication

  • Effective leadership

  • Team management

  • Conflict management

CWC's leadership training program for Heads of Departments was held on the 19th of November 2024, facilitated by Jemimah Jatua-Kyari, the training emphasized best practices for record-keeping, including organization, categorization, standardization, and consistency.

Effective communication techniques, such as active listening, clear messaging, and utilizing tools like templates and software, were also explored.

The training delved into transformational leadership, which inspires and motivates teams through idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Transactional leadership, which focuses on task completion and reward, was also discussed.

Abuja Squash Open 2023

Indications emerged yesterday that Nigeria may participate in the squash event of Paris 2024 Summer Olympics Games Abuja 2023 Squash open finals in Abuja national stadium, Abuja, Nigeria.  One of the stakeholders, who organised the just-concluded Abuja 2023 Squash Open, Childcare/Wellness Clinic (CWC) and Revitalise Wellness and Holistic Gardens in Abuja, said the tournament, which featured 67 participants from across the country from November 27 to December 2, was in line with efforts to take the Nigerian game to Paris 2024. According to the director of the tournament, Jerry Oguejiofor, “the take home is for us to ensure that our players are well positioned now that squash is included in the Olympics. “We hope that from here, they will gain more points because this is a PSA ranking tournament.
